Welcome to Room 12/ Second Grade, Ms. Picazo.
I have been teaching at Jefferson since 2005. I have taught kindergarten first, second and third grade. I have found my home in 2nd grade! I love the curriculum and the the age of the students. They are very curious and excited about learning. The growth they experience within the year is amazing and I am so pleased to be a part of their journey.
I grew up in Michigan and received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Michigan State University. I moved to Redondo Beach in 1997 when my children were just beginning school. I went on to get my teaching certificate while they were in school. They went to Beryl Heights, and graduated from Redondo Union High. They are now grown and perusing their own careers. Time flies!
