Welcome

My name is Betsy Lee and I am so excited to be back for the second year of teaching 4th grade at Jefferson in Room 20. I had a great first year of teaching.  The Jefferson team is an inspiration and I feel fortunate to be surrounded by amazing mentors who genuinely care about their students.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Intensive Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and my teaching credential from Dominguez Hills.  I began my teaching career with outdoor education; teaching surf lessons; coaching; and as a Los Angeles County lifeguard, instructing children in ocean skills and safety, both in LA and in Australia.

 I am thrilled to be teaching in the town I grew up and live in! I love and admire the Redondo School District for planning a well-rounded education for student success now and in the future.

My primary goal is to foster a classroom environment where students enjoy coming to school every day and therefore identify as a lifelong learner.
