Mr. Mauro Room 11

Hello! My name is Kyle Mauro, and I am excited to be joining the Jefferson Elementary community as a 2nd Grade Teacher. I have worked in education since 2006 and have taught in general education classrooms since 2019. I also hold Master's Degrees in Education and Psychology.

I believe in educating the whole child and creating a classroom where every student feels seen, valued, challenged, and supported. I have high expectations for my students both academically and as people of character. I believe strongly in a growth mindset, productive struggle, and helping children understand that mistakes are an important part of learning and never define who they are.

Every child learns differently, and I believe there are multiple paths to success. Above all, I want my classroom to be a place where differences are embraced, students feel a true sense of belonging, and every child knows that their teacher believes in who they are and who they can become.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching basketball, and photography. I am excited to be part of the Jefferson community and look forward to an amazing year!
