Welcome

Welcome to Room 11 and the new school year.  My name is Jeannine Ingrassia Barnes. I am a New York native and a long time resident of the South Bay. I am also the very proud student of the Redondo Beach public school system, dating all the way back to Tulita Elementary School through Redondo Union High School. I am a graduate of C.S.U. Dominguez Hills, Class of 1994. And, although I have been teaching at Jefferson School since 1994,  I have worked at many other Redondo Beach schools in various grade levels while earning my college degree, prior to graduating in 1994. In addition to working in the classroom, I have spent time working for the R.B.U.S.D. Child Development Centers taking students on fascinating field trips.  I have also coached many local soccer teams for AYSO region #34. More recently, I have spent my spare time traveling with my husband while still enjoying the luxuries of living in the South Bay. I am eager to bring my world experiences and love for our community into our third grade classroom this year. I strive to establish a positive and productive learning environment. I look forward to our partnership as we make this an awesome year!
